About the role

As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the staffing and performance of a designated hub. You will be expected to optimize the lead time of processing parcels for delivery and manage compliance, legal, and company requirements. The successful candidate will undertake all actions required to ensure the hub runs smoothly and safely for all teammates.

On your day to day, you will:

  • Recruit, guide, educate and manage all hub and courier teams within designated hub.
  • Collate, prepare, and deliver data to wider organisation and stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all couriers and team undertake required training.
  • Management of all hubs.
  • Support all team members to achieve and undertaking any steps required to support those who struggle.
  • Teammate management i.e. investigation, disciplinaries and sickness absence.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing operations in a fast-paced environment, ideally within a logistics or last-mile delivery setting. You will have strong communication skills and the ability to motivate and lead a team.
