Job Description: Operations Manager
Job Purpose & Description
As an Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for the planning, coordination and control of production processes. You'll make sure goods and services are produced efficiently and productively to ensure that the correct volumes are produced at the right cost and level of quality. No day will be the same and it will be a very hands-on role involving a range of issues as well as supporting in the strategic development of the business.
You will be responsible for both human and material resources.
Responsibilities
As an Operations Manager, duties will include:
- Co-ordinating and dealing with issues across production, loading, engineering and transport, ensuring KPI’S for each department are monitored and achieved
- Company wide financial performance, budgeting and forecasting
- Creation of financial budgets/forecasting; weekly, fortnightly, monthly and quarterly basis.
- Overall management of transport and logistics
- Overarching responsibility for new and existing clients
- Comply, implement process and procedure in line with health and safety legislation, best practice, efficiency and productivity
- Leading and developing the management team in line with the business needs
- Human resources and industrial relations
- Creating and developing a positive working culture
- Creating and implementation of new management systems other than financial to ensure the efficient and profitable running of the business.
- Project planning in connection with the entire management team
- Working the hour’s necessary to fulfil the business needs.
- Any other duties that the business requires yet in not detailed in this document
Skills
You will need to have:
- Planning and organisation skills to be able run and monitor the production process;
- The ability to act decisively and solve staff or equipment-related problems;
- The capacity to grasp concepts easily;
- ICT literacy to deal with various technologies and programmes;
- Attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality;
- The ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with your team, managers and clients;
- Strong negotiation skills for getting materials within budget and at the right time;
- The ability to work under pressure and motivate others to meet tight deadlines;
- KPI & Target driven;
- The ability to work in a logical, systematic manner.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £38,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
