We are currently looking for an Operations Manager to join our BSE site based in Bury St Edmunds. This is a permanent role Monday – Friday with a salary range of £46,000 to £48,000.
Function
Main purpose of job
- To strategically lead all activities related to the flow of stock through the distribution centre, from receipt through to despatch, ensuring they are completed safely and in line with Client expectations
- To manage the Client relationship at first line level, ensuring the Client is informed (through the correct channels) of all relevant information and that concerns are dealt with in a timely and constructive way
- To ensure the team proactively plan labour, equipment and activities in a cost-effective way, ensuring budgets are adhered to and exceeded where possible
- To promote and foster a culture of working safely and supporting the development of the team and the individuals within it
