Role Purpose
To support techUK staff members with IT/AV equipment and assist with the smooth running of internal/external meetings and events.
The technology which enables us to execute the work that we do at techUK is crucial to its success, and we're looking for an IT/AV Support Technician who can ensure that techUK’s hardware and software systems continue to push the business forwards.
Reporting into the Head of Digital, the successful candidate will provide training, support, and maintenance on our AV and IT systems to ensure the smooth operation of meetings, events, and equipment used by colleagues. In particular, we are looking for someone with a good understanding of AV systems to lead our work in this area, and exposure to modern cloud-based IT platforms.
This is a people-facing role, and it is important that the successful candidate enjoys working with a diverse team, can communicate clearly with colleagues from a non-technical background and respond calmly and efficiently when troubleshooting issues raised by them.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to colleagues who are working onsite and remotely
- Maintain and support AV equipment used for internal/external events and meetings
- Create meetings and events using video conferencing solutions including Zoom and Microsoft Teams as required by the business
- Test and prepare AV equipment in meeting rooms for upcoming events
- Prepare laptops/mobile phones for staff members
- Provide AV training to colleagues as and when required
- Assist with diagnosing issues with Staff IT equipment, including Laptops, external screens, docking stations, printers
- Update the IT inventory as and when necessary
- Support in managing security and spam filtering systems
- Add/remove users from Exchange groups, distribution lists
- Create Microsoft SharePoint sites and Teams groups as required (training given)
- Maintain the Microsoft Endpoint manager Admin centre (training given)
- Liaise with external contractors for support

Essential Knowledge and Experience
- Experience of supporting various video conferencing platforms including Zoom and Teams
- Knowledge of Office 365 applications including OneDrive, SharePoint
- Experience of working with and supporting enterprise AV equipment
- Experience of user support and training
Desired Knowledge and Experience
- Experience of working with a trade organisation
- Experience with Microsoft Admin Centres including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Azure Active directory
This role profile is a guide to the work that is required but does not form part of any contract of employment and may change from time to time to reflect changing circumstances.
The successful candidate must have permission to work in the UK prior to the commencement of employment.
The salary range for this role is £26,000 - £31,000 per annum based upon experience plus discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits.
