Location: Rochester
Salary: Circa £65,000 skills and experience + car allowance and bonus
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading a number of product delivery and integrated manufacturing teams including the recruitment and development of key individuals
- Working with the Product Directors to develop and deliver a future manufacturing strategy that meets the needs of the business or value stream
- Future planning of people, equipment and environmental requirements in line with the business integrated business planning process
- Driving quality improvements and cost reduction activities
- Communicating programme and functional performance to relevant stakeholders
- Representing the Operations and Supply Chain Director at various business and functional performance reviews
- Managing Operations employee performance and relations within the allocated business area or value stream
Results required:
- Delivery of business area and programme sales, profit and cash targets associated with product deliveries and programme milestones
- Delivery of operational budgets including headcount and indirect expenditure
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Previous cross functional or multi-disciplined leadership experience required
- Experience in the management of complex manufacturing processes
- Ability to build and maintain excellent and influential relationships across all levels within the business, with a demonstrated ability to operate in a cross functional environment prioritising business needs and requirements.
Desirable:
- Lean manufacturing knowledge
- An understanding of MRP systems and associated tools
- A degree or equivalent in a Manufacturing or Engineering (or related) discipline is preferred

The Operations team:
Reporting to the Operations and Supply Chain Director, this role will lead a number of Integrated Manufacturing Teams (IMTs) across a line of business or product value stream throughout the project and product lifecycle (Development / Production / Support) driving operational excellence, business improvement and business value throughout. Accountable for all aspects of manufacturing and product delivery within allocated business area or value stream including cost performance, internal and delivered quality, on time delivery, and employee safety.
