Your New Role:


We have a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Operations Manager to join our Regional Accommodation Maintenance Service (RAMS) contracts part of the MOD's Future Defence Infrastructure Services (FDIS) at multiple sites including Rosyth to Leuchars and Kirkcaldy, Scotland. Driving License essential.

Operations Manager plays an important part in act as the stakeholder interface on site to the delivery of all Amey contractual outputs and manage Supply Chain to ensure that all statutory, mandatory and reactive performance indicators are consistently achieved within area of responsibility.

The standard hours of work are 37.5 Per Week

You will be responsible for:

  • Delivery of maintenance, response and void works
  • Planning, directing and controlling activities
  • Leading an operational team to achieve KPIs
  • Agreeing scope and priorities of work
  • Proactive performance management
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions
  • Stakeholder, Client and Customer Engagement
  • Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract.
  • This role will also support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate

What makes this role unique is the opportunity to work on responsive and planned preventative maintenance as well as improvement and refurbishment projects to approximately 25,000 homes.


We want to hear from you if you have:

  • HNC, or equivalent, level qualification in a Building/Civil Engineering or Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Management level qualification in H&S and Environment (e.g. SMSTS)

Ideally you will be qualified in Building Engineering with experience in Construction or Property Maintenance.
