A new role with the Quay Theatre, Sudbury, Suffolk to oversee day-to-day operations
- Maintain theatre policies
- Maximise marketing opportunities
- Maintain exemplary customer care standards
THEATRE PROGRAMMING
- Ensure all parties have contracts, riders, insurance documentation, permissions and all other relevant information
- Liaise with hirers to ensure they have all documentation for their respective productions
- Work with technical team to ensure that contract terms and riders are practicable and demonstrate best practice
- Maintain Master Schedule of all forthcoming shows, productions and events
- Maintain good working knowledge of the Theatre’s technical specifications and limitations
MARKETING
- Manage local and national profile of the theatre
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local, regional and national media contacts
- Oversee all social media, write content for the Quay’s website
- Assist with production of the Theatre brochure, banners, posters, flyers and other publicity materials
- Arrange interviews with visiting actors and directors
FRONT OF HOUSE AND BOX OFFICE
- Manage Theatre’s box office system Ticketsolve, add shows, provide reports etc
- Rota Duty Managers and Front of House staff/volunteers, liaise with Bar Manager
- Act as Duty Manager for shows in the event of Duty Managers being unavailable
- Ensure best practice for all performances (cash procedures, clearing up, locking up etc)
- Act on customer, staff or performers’ feedback, positive or negative
GENERAL ADMINISTRATION
- Oversee daily revenue reconciliation and banking
- Authorise petty cash purchases, manage floats and petty cash
- Maintain good working knowledge of the theatre’s financial position
- Line manage your team, including development reviews and yearly appraisals
- Provide day-today HR administration and maintain HR files
- Host meetings with all staff and volunteers regularly to ensure all are updated and engaged with developments at the Theatre
FUNDS AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Provide admin support for any new Friends, Corporate, Community and Creative Learning schemes
OTHER
- Occasional weekend/evening work
- Salary negotiable for the candidate with the right experience
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 22.5 per week
Salary: £12.30-£13.50 per hour
