Overall Purpose of the Job
To install and commission Wireless Wells Solutions equipment in full compliance with the Company’s safety manuals and Quality Assurance Systems, on location, in a safe, professional and competent manner in order to satisfy the client's requirements. Also to assist in the office with project management, planning and preparation for future projects.
Key Activities and Accountabilities
- Successfully prepare, install, test, operate, service, pack and load equipment and products used by the company with diligence and in an efficient manner.
- Produce comprehensive installation work packs, and supply all relevant paperwork relating to the job within the agreed timescale. To produce end of job reports that will be submitted to the client
- Assist the Operations Supervisor in preparing for new installation projects including equipment design, modifications, assembly and project management.
- Record and report any defects with onsite equipment using appropriate forms and provide feedback to the Operations Supervisor.
- Report any HSE incidents using appropriate forms and provide feedback to the Operations Supervisor.
- Ensure that all chargeable equipment and people are included on the job ticket and signed for by the Client.
- Attend pre and post job briefings with the Operations Supervisor or Project Engineer additionally to attend pre and post test Client meetings when required.
- Perform job safety analysis either standalone or in conjunction with the Operations Supervisor.
- In general discussion with the customer, identify any opportunities for exploiting the WWS product range and opportunities to supply other group activities/services.
- Be available for work at short notice additionally available for overseas work when required.
- Assist with base operations when required, for example preparing equipment, making reports, packing equipment etc.
- Communicate to the Manager any concerns, suggestions, ideas or improvements which may affect Group activities.
- Train other engineers in the areas of your expertise when required.
- Analyse client data and produce accurate and well written data reports for submission to the client.
- Assist the research team in performing field experiments to further develop the technology.
- Assist with the preparation of operations manuals as required.
Job Knowledge and Qualifications
- Previous oilfield experience in a Cased Hole discipline
- Previous experience in mechanical / electronic engineering principles relevant to the operation and installation of WWS equipment.
- The ability to analyse the cause of faults and implement solutions.
- Dexterity in operation and handling of tools.
- Sufficient knowledge of CaTS™ theories, principles and techniques to optimise installations and system performance.
- Experienced in working with / applying for Permits to Work.
