About the Opportunity
We are looking for an Operations Director to manage and oversee the Integrated Asset Care Contract based at Sellafield, running to July 2022 – 2027 (IAC (Integrated Asset Care) Framework (4+1) £250M). The scope includes mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering with individual Jobs, Tasks and Projects ranging from hundreds to several million pounds. The contract is being delivered by OneAIM a joint venture between Mitie and Jacobs Plc. You will be expected to work seamlessly and collaboratively with the customer & wider Field Solutions Frameworks (TDA & CNSL) managing both on and off-site teams within the Cumbria area.
Responsibilities:
- Safety First – refine, develop & deliver our Beyond Zero HSSE plans, and policies measured by: event statistics (LTI and AIFR); High Potential Incidents; audit-identified non-conformances. The Target is Zero.
- Growth – Develop framework value propositions by working across the JV group to identify and drive innovation and benefit realisation, working with SL jointly to lead the management team as part of the SRM-360 (Supplier Relationship Management) process, aligned to the joint relationship management plan..
- Responsible for delivering Framework & Account Management across multiple site based Plant & Operational Units, supporting key opportunities, and bid development, whilst flexing the organisational structure to meet demand and capability requirements, with workforce development ensuring appraisals and CPD are completed annually.
- Success is measured by the achievement of both the agreed operating unit-specific and the overall nuclear business level targets. The successful candidate will retain full accountability for the overall performance of the operating units, including financial accountability as delegated by the JV Executive Director.
- The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and be able to collaborate with other operational areas and functions, communicating in a calm, open, honest and measured style that connects people and issues and drives a quick response with a strong focus on common high level outcomes.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- An engineering-based degree would be desirable.
- Good understanding of working in highly regulated environment.
- Significant experience of leading a wide variety of Operational teams.
- Experienced at operating in senior business roles, both in operations and a functional appreciation.
