HMS GANNET is the Royal Navy's sole air station in Scotland. Providing operational support to military aviation, the unit offers a multifaceted working environment with a varied and challenging working day. The Operations Clerk is a pivotal role within the unit and combines planning, coordination and communications skills to ensure customers can operate safely and effectively.
Job description
The Operations Clerk's tasks include:
- managing visits and coordinating flying programmes
- supporting security related administration
- carrying out routine administrative tasks
- coordinating and managing SharePoint
- handling incoming and outgoing mail
- acting as the information support officer
- acting as the unit's communications officer
- supporting accommodation bookings when required
- authorising aircraft landing fees when required
