Job description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods via container shipping and freight forwarding, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to all relevant regulations and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the shipment of goods via container shipping and freight forwarding, including negotiating rates, arranging for pickup and delivery, and preparing necessary documentation.
- Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained in accordance with relevant regulations and procedures.
- Track and monitor shipment progress, providing regular updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the shipping process.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments, including invoices, bills of lading, and other documentation.
- Liaise with customs brokers and other third-party service providers to ensure smooth and timely clearance of shipments.
- Manage relationships with carriers, suppliers, and other stakeholders involved in the shipping process.
- Maintain a high level of customer service, responding promptly to inquiries and requests.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or a related field is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in container shipping and freight forwarding.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and completeness.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with others.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and procedures, including customs regulations and international trade laws.

Salary: £22,500.00-£27,500.00 per year
