Your New Role…
To provide daily support to the Client Services and Operations Department and to ensure efficient service delivery to our internal and external clients and customers.
The ideal candidate will be a key member of the team and be able to react and respond according to our clients’ requests. Through this, they will gain excellent knowledge of the industry and Backlot management.
Your Role Accountabilities…
Primarily to assist the Operations Manager in the daily operation of the site.
Point of contact for Backlot operations, developing strong working relationships with key contacts with awareness of the production’s wider Studio footprint.
Meet and communicate with clients regarding job requests, prioritise with other WBSL departments and update on the progress.
Liaise with productions on specific activities and production movements and communicate these to internal WBSL departments.
Liaise with productions in partnership with the Health & Safety Senior Manager to manage risk, site Health & Safety protocols, standard operating procedures and emergency procedures.
Liaise with external customers and support the completion of third-party works.
Assist the Operations Manager to enforce WBSL site, Health & Safety, and waste site policies and to adhere to channels of escalation and reporting.
Assist with updating production shooting schedules and communicating to the wider team and WBSL departments.
To ensure that a high level of cleanliness is maintained in all areas of the Studio site.
To assist in all areas when cover may be required such as the preparation and distribution of Studio memos and onsite traffic management.
Qualifications & Experience…
Proven experience of working as part of a team within a fast-moving often pressurised environment.
Ability to cope under extreme pressure from clients and colleagues, responding quickly and appropriately to requests, using own initiative, and be prepared to ask for help and advice when necessary.
Able to demonstrate resilience and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to think ahead and anticipate needs of the department and remain calm under pressure.
Previous knowledge of/or an interest in the media, film or events industry.
Previous experience of working in an operational role.
Understanding of task deployment and audit specific software, e.g. PlanOn and iAuditor.
Knowledge and practical application of basic health & safety.
Full driving license.
IOSH desirable.
Company Overview…
Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden (WBSL) is a purpose built, state-of-the-art film and television studio offering one of the largest facilities in the UK. This 200-acre secure site has half a million square feet of stage space, production offices and workshops together with an exterior filming tank, one of the largest indoor heated underwater filming tanks in Europe and a 150 acre back-lot. WBSL has some of the largest sound stages in the UK and is proving to be a very popular facility for production clients.
WB Leavesden Park, adjacent to the Studio, offers modern and flexible office space for Production Companies. The site also has its own, on-site Set Lighting & Rigging rental division, which provides the industry with state-of-the-art lighting equipment, scaffolding and production supplies for stage and location shoots. WB De Lane Lea based in Soho, London, provides state of the art facilities in audio post-production for feature films and television.
WBSL also have an onsite childcare facility available to WB employees and onsite productions called The WonderWorks and Zone10 - an onsite gym facility to support the physical and mental wellbeing of all our employees.
These facilities make Warner Bros. Entertainment the only Hollywood studio to own and operate a production and post-production facility in the UK.
