This stunning 53-bed home offers its residents state-of-the-art facilities unrivalled in the area, to include a coffee shop/bistro, hair & nail salon, separate dining and lounge areas and landscaped gardens, whilst at the same time providing exceptional standards of care supported by the very latest care planning and nurse-call technology. Here at Ribble Court, we provide high-quality specialist/complex nursing care and residential dementia care on separate floors, with a person-centred focus based on the needs and wishes of the residents maintained at all times. As a Chef Manager at our home, your role will involve: Being accountable for the successful and effective operation of the kitchen, including cooking, food production, menu planning, staff management, supplies, presentation/service and record management Compliance with quality and safety standards Prioritising the culinary experience for our residents, focussing on inclusivity by ensuring all residents can participate in enjoying a varied and high-quality diet prepared in accordance with their individual needs Inspiring and mentoring junior kitchen staff to maintain a reputation of culinary excellence within the home What are we looking for? Essentially, we are seeking applications from experienced Chefs who understand the importance of the meal-time experience for our residents, and as such, will consistently leave no stone unturned in delivering fantastic, nutritious and varied meals to all those living at our home. Candidates should be communicative, hard-working and suitably qualified individuals, with excellent leadership skills and significant, proven experience of heading up kitchen environments Excellent menu-planning and budgetary management skills are key, as are a good working knowledge of nutrition and dietetics City & Guilds Diploma in Professional Cookery 7100, Levels 1 & 2, or equivalent and a Basic Food/Hygiene Certificate are highly desirable Knowledge of EHO Regulations and IDDSI diets/texture-modified food & dysphagia highly desirable Sandstone Care Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer: We welcome and encourage applications from all backgrounds.
