Ross Promotional Products Ltd is a small family business, based in Glasgow city centre, established in 1984. They provide branded goods, workwear, promotional items and corporate gifts for public and private sector clients. Recent growth means that they now have an opportunity for a candidate interested in gaining an SVQ qualification and experience as an Operations Apprentice to join their dynamic team. Qualification attached: Digital Application Support SCQF Level 6 Diploma Modern Apprenticeship Job Description As the Operations Apprentice, you will be providing clients with the highest standards of customer service through supporting and assisting various departments. You will be building your own knowledge of business processes, gaining invaluable experience and skills by working with production, sales and finance teams in a busy and varied environment. Salary: £13,000 per annum starting salary (the salary will be reviewed on completion of your apprenticeship). Working Hours: 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm with a 1 hour lunch break) Company Benefits 29 days annual leave Workplace pension Private health insurance Bonus scheme (upon successful completion of probationary period) Progression Opportunities Successful completion of the Modern Apprenticeship could lead to the offer of a position with the company and salary increase. Responsibilities This is an office based role, with hands-on activities like fulfilment and receiving deliveries as and when required. Using in-house Customer Relationship Management software (Promoserve) and Microsoft Office 365 packages Contacting suppliers for prices and progress of orders Organising deliveries out Receiving deliveries in Sample ordering and filing Catalogue filing and general office tidying Stock picking and fulfilment Entering and filing purchase invoices Reconciling and filing supplier statements Assisting with marketing ideas & campaign suggestions Candidate Attributes Positive attitude High level of written and verbal communication Desire to develop a career Eagerness to learn and do well Accurate and thorough, with good attention to detail Organised, methodical and able to prioritise tasks Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously Able to follow instructions to deliver required tasks Excellent timekeeping and attendance Important Information “QA’s apprenticeship programmes may be funded in part by the European Union through the European Social Fund, which supports the development of employment opportunities and a skilled workforce.” For more information about QA Apprenticeships, please visit our website.
