Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for the safe delivery and performance of Operations and Maintenance in the East Coast Region. Together with your team, you’ll oversee the creation of core concepts for operational excellence, processes, and strategic initiatives, whilst maintaining a very broad stakeholder landscape, all while maintaining site operations. Welcome to Operations– East Coast Region UK
You’ll manage the routine and non-routine maintenance of the site with regard to QHSE Performance, Production Performance, and Asset Security in order to deliver agreed power generation production plans, safely and cost effectively. Here, you’ll personally be responsible for line management and the development of wind turbine technicians and supervisors. Moreover, you’ll work to establish and maintain effective communication networks within your own and the wider team, ensuring business objectives and activities are clearly outlined and that your teams share best practice, through preparation and participation to keep staff appraised of events and ensure they are involved and engaged in the business.
You’ll play an important role in:
- managing the execution of all maintenance activities to ensure the delivery of Health, Safety and Environmental practices, incl. process safety, to the required levels of performance, i.e., in line with company KPIs and current legislation, whilst ensuring that all personnel on the site adhere to the site procedures and requirements and adopt a continuous improvement culture
- managing the effective procurement of parts and services through the development of technical specification, assessing tender returns, and securing budget approved for expenditure to support the delivery of the maintenance strategy
- being accountable for best operational practice and budget management on plant areas, whilst striving to make improvements and optimisations to further support the journey of driving down the cost of renewables, progressing the company’s vision to create a world that runs entirely on green energy
- being responsible for conducting and coordinating incident investigations, ensuring reporting standards are maintained and coordinating the completion of actions
- making effective use of the company’s performance management systems and utilising regional resources against the business plan and work programmes to prioritise resource and work scopes accordingly, interfacing with other regional teams to ensure that you meet both site and regional requirements.
To succeed in the role, you:
- take an analytical approach to your work, possess excellent organisational skills, and can handle numerous tasks at once, without losing perspective
- have a relevant educational background, with experience from large-scale operational management, ideally from within an engineering, manufacturing, or utilities business, with proven planning and reporting experience
- can create excellent results through teamwork and develop good relationships with your colleagues and external business partners
- have experience with team management, performance, and line management, incl. strong leadership and communication skills
- have experience working in QHSE-critical environments
- have electrical or mechanical engineering experience from a relevant industry or a strong background in offshore wind farm operations.
