What will you be doing?
  • As part of the Equity Stock Loan Team your responsibilities will include :
  • Supporting the trading activities of the business, including settlement of trades covering short positions or risk
  • Serve as the primary point of contact to external lenders/clients via e-mail, telephone, Zoom
  • Monitor and cure exposure risk to the firm
  • Using both internal and external vendor systems, you will perform daily cash and stock reconciliation ensuring Morgan Stanley’s books and records match external positions
  • You will work with a wide range of internal stakeholders including the Stock Loan Trading Desk, Asset Services, Settlements and Collateral Teams in order to ensure your client’s needs are met and the Morgan Stanley franchise protected

QUALIFICATIONS

  • You will have an aptitude for working in a demanding, fast-paced environment
  • The ability to handle high volume workloads and priotisation of work/requests from stakeholders
  • You will be a quick learner who has strong communication skills and is able to develop relationships across a broad spectrum of stakeholders
  • A desire to go above and beyond your daily responsibilities with a flexible attitude to tasks undertaken
Skills that will help you in the role:
  • Risk management along with an understanding of escalation requirements
  • Ability to work across silos/time-zones/cultures
  • Able to work unsupervised and question existing practices where you feel they are inefficient or present risk
  • A strong sense of accountability


Where will you be working?
This role is based at our Glasgow office on Waterloo Street in the city centre. This location has a wellness centre, including gym and shower/changing facilities, GP, Prayer room, Canteen and onsite Starbucks.
