The role

As an Operational Planner, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be responsible for planning in activity on various military platforms and equipment’s, across multiple sites, and engaging with Production Teams to ensure the work is completed on time.

Day to day, you’ll plan in maintenance, repair and operations activities based on capacity, capability and material availability. Where applicable expedite resource availability, suitably qualified and experienced person, and material shortfalls to meet both the customer and business priorities.

• Respond to new demands promptly and efficiently, creating plans for production from customer demands
• Ensure amendments to plans are not implemented until checks of capability, capacity and materials have been factored in
• Develop excellent and effective communication lines with the Site Supply Chain and Operations teams
• Build close working relationships with Operational, and support functions (e.g. Central Order Team, Operational Planning Managers, JAMES Administration, Customer Services, the Hub) to deliver a joined up service
• Ensure all electronic job pack documentation for processes conducted is completed and uploaded to Sharepoint

Essential experience of the Operational Planner

• IT Literate – experienced in excel
• Experience in providing excellent customer service verbal and written
• Able to be proactive and prioritise

This is a full time role based from our Warminster site. With line manager approval it is possible work up to 2 days from home.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
