Online Listing Assistant

Role Responsibilities
- Sitting in the Buying and Merch team, you will report into the Senior Merchandising and Buying Administrator. Your chief responsibility will be adding new products to the website, your day-to-day will include:
- Data Entry: Adding new products to the website system, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date. This includes product descriptions, specifications, pricing and availability.
- Quality Assurance: Regularly reviewing and auditing the product database to ensure all entries are correct and consistent.
- Copywriting: Writing compelling product descriptions that highlight key features, benefits and uses of the products to effectively communicate their value to customers. Ensuring all copy is in line with the brand's voice and tone.
- SEO Optimisation: Optimising product descriptions, titles, meta descriptions and other copy with relevant keywords to improve SEO rankings and product visibility on search engines.
- Image Selection and Optimisation: Selecting high-quality product images, optimising them for size and resolution to ensure they load quickly and display well on various devices. Basic manipulation of images in Paintshop Pro or Photoshop will be required (training will be provided).
- Feedback Incorporation: Incorporating feedback from team members and customers to continuously improve product pages.
- Competitive Analysis: Regularly reviewing competitor websites for ideas and insights to improve product pages.
- Support: Supporting the wider buying and merch team on other tasks, including liaising with suppliers to secure product information and coordinating project launches with the Ecomm and Marketing team.
Experience & Skills
Required skills include:
- Excellent spelling, punctuation and grammar.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Creative flair to maintain engaging content.
- An understanding of SEO and basic knowledge of HTML is advantageous.
- Computer literate with the ability to write both short and long form content quickly.
- Knowledge of Paintshop Pro or Photoshop is desirable.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage own workload.
- Team player who is happy to assist in other areas of the business when necessary.
Salary/Working Hours
- This is a full-time, permanent, office based position.
- Working hours are 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30am – 4:30pm Friday.
- Salary is up to £22k DOE (this will reflect experience and will be discussed during interview).
