The Involvement, Recovery & Wellness Centre (IRWC) is seeking self-motivated and enthusiastic tutor who have a passion for recovery and teaching to support the facilitation of workshops Cheshire wide. The role requires you to champion hope, opportunity, independence, and control by supporting and teaching evidence based self-management strategies both in groups and on a one-to-one basis; in order to support the people utilising CWP services to live their best lives and reach their own personal potential in all areas of life.
Main duties of the job
To create, develop and facilitate workshops Cheshire Wide (i.e. Chester, Crewe, Macclesfield), as well as work with people on a one to one basis utilising evidence based recovery principles.
Facilitate wellbeing events, encourage public engagement and promote prevention and wellbeing.

All new clinical support staff will be required to have completed or working towards the Care Certificate (CWP In-house 2 day training to be completed within 6 months of start date).
Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. A small annual fee of £13 per year applies.
New entrants to the NHS will commence on the minimum of the scale stated above.

Experience
Essential criteria
- Working with service users and carers of mental health services in a role that acknowledges and supports involvement, recovery and wellness
- Experience of delivering training workshops or focus groups
- Personal experience of living with and effectively self-managing symptoms long term health conditions
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in a Recovery College environment
- Experience of working in an office environment
- Experience of Peer support Training
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Expert Patient Programme, Train the Trainer or Participation and Engagement training qualification
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of facilitating groups
- Knowledge and experience of dealing with issues involved in communicating with those who use mental health services
- Knowledge and experience of developing and employing effective participation and engagement techniques
- Understanding and knowledge of managing a long term health condition
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge and ability to create and edit digital databases
- Understanding and appreciation of the principles underpinning Recovery Colleges
