[Pay is £10p/hour for SATS, £12 p/hour for year7-8 and £15p/hour for GCSE and £20p/hr for A-Level Only Apply if Your Happy With This]
EmpowerOwl Education is a start-up tuition agency that strives to empower young minds and provide a means of education for everyone regardless of their background. Although it is available for everyone, we do target low-income background families as our main ethos is to make education easily accessible to everyone. The goal is to eventually be able to offer free sessions to those that cannot afford it (don't worry, you'll still be paid!) and expand into a global brand that will ensure every individual who wants to learn has the means too regardless of their background.
We currently teach KS1...KS2...11+...13+...KS3...GCSE...A-Levels
Current subjects include Maths, Science and English and other elective classes but these will grow as the agency increases so if you specialize in any other subject then great!
What we're looking for:
Apart from knowing your stuff which is the minimum, EmpowerOwl strives to empower young minds through not only tutoring but also through mentoring. You must be able to able to go over and more for your students and display genuine passion and care for their education. What makes us different from the many other tutoring agencies is that we CARE and that we offer a personalized service to each individual client-not one size fit all! If you lack the passion and drive to want your students to not only reach their 'target' grades but surpass them then please do not apply. This isn't just a side job in which you can earn some extra cash on the side-this is a genuine responsibility.
If you do survive through the hiring process (it's not that bad) then you have the potential to take up as many clients as you want. Of course, we are looking for long-term employees; at least sticking around for the full academic year. There is potential to rise to other roles; admin, HR, etc, and also other businesses. But like I mentioned this is only a recent start-up and will take time. If you have other skills to offer too i.e. digital marketing then that's a bonus!
Although we a social enterprise our pay is competitive and high compared to most tuition agencies. We match you with clients that are suited to your abilities-we do all the heavy lifting and you just need to prepare the lesson and teach! Resources can be shared and help is always available.
