About the role

Tesco Online is the biggest online grocer in the UK and one of the largest in the world. Throughout the last 12 months, sales doubled reaching over £6 billion. In this role, you will lead the development of the fulfilment charges strategy and execute project plans, working collaboratively and cross functionally with Senior Stakeholders across online business, technology, and customer team. You will also be responsible for supporting Tesco business to improve forecasting accuracy, optimise capacity, improve customer experience & profitability and; address unmet demand.

You will be responsible for

• Leading the definition of the long-term Tesco HD & C&C fulfilment charges proposition based on customer needs, market trends and opportunities to increase sales & profit growth
• implementing the fulfilment charges proposition roadmap including improvement to current pricing matrix, defining segment-based pricing strategy, promotional pricing & pricing setup automation
• Developing and implementing the Christmas PAYG slot-pricing to improve profitability
• Adopting agile principles to collaborate cross functionally including but not limited to technology, finance, customer, datascience and legal to
• Analysing data to identify new opportunities to improve profitability and address unmet demand, running tests and implementing learnings
• Supporting the ‘Forecasting & Capacity Optimisation Lead’ to improve sales forecast & optimise fulfilment network to meet demand and reduce waste
• Evaluating potential ROI against agreed metrics to support prioritisation in business and technology plans
• Working in an agile way with other Squads across value streams to ensure knowledge is shared effective for efficient proposition development and testing.

You will need

• Ability to influence at all levels
• Experience of project management & delivery of cross-functional initiatives
• Record of performing in-depth business analysis and developing data-models
• Strategy formulation, business development in Online / Retail context
• Understanding of Online business models and economics
• Strong strategy and proposition development as well as analytical skills
• Ability to bridge between strategic thinking and pragmatic implementation
• Strong communication and storytelling skills
