Job description
We are inviting applications from competent On-Call (RDS) Firefighters from Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service to join us as a Wholetime Firefighter on our 24-hour duty system.
We are looking for individuals who possess the following personal qualities:

An understanding of their role with regards to health, safety and welfare.
Motivated
Effective team member
Effective communicator
Flexible approach to undertaking new initiatives.
Applicants must have 3 x GCSEs grade 9-4 (A-C) or equivalent in Maths, English and one other subject (proof of qualifications will be required).
Those who don’t currently have the relevant qualifications or proof of the relevant qualifications may still apply. Those who pass the selection process will be placed on a holding list pending proof of the qualification(s).
Functional Skills Qualifications level 2 are acceptable qualifications and individuals will be supported to undertake these, please contact [email protected] or Competency and Development Team for more information.
Continued competence needs to be evidenced through PDR Pro.
Successful candidates will be required to serve at any community fire station within the Service.
