Office Assistant

Ringwood, Hampshire

Permanent, Full-time

Salary: £23k to £26k DOE

Our client Greenlight Electrical Limited is an inspiring, forward-thinking family run business, providing a vast variety of electrical solutions to both commercial and residential customers, throughout the Bournemouth, Southampton and surrounding areas.

Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a proactive and self-motivated Office Assistant to join their team in Ringwood based Head Office. The successful candidate will assist with customer account management, administration and finance duties, telephone queries and support the team of electrical engineers working on client sites.

Office Assistant, the role:

  • Providing an exceptional customer service to new and existing customers
  • Looking after end to end customer experience – from organising initial documents and managing booking to follow up phone call after job completion
  • Reviewing simple residential customer accounts
  • Fulfilling general administration - placing orders with suppliers, basic costing, time sheets and posting on social media
  • Supporting the field-based team and senior management when required
  • Temporary finance duties - invoices, processing petty cash, liaising with external bookkeeper and accountants for payroll, payments, bank reconciliation, debts chasing

Office Assistant, the person:

  • Previous experience working within office environment is a must
  • 5 GCSEs Grade A*-C or 9-4 including English and Math
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Package
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage own time effectively
  • Confident and polite telephone manner
  • Work well in a team with a “can do” attitude
  • Knowledge of Xero accounting system would be advantageous
