Role: Office Administrator

Location: Cardiff

Salary: £20K

Contract Type: permanent/full time

Hours: 4 days per week for 5 days pay (see below)

The Company

Safer Fostering CIC is an innovative, therapeutic fostering agency that cares deeply for the families it supports. It has a unique model of support that includes Empathic Listeners, Therapeutic Social Workers, Child Support Workers and an Attachment Therapist.

Founded in October 2020, the agency has quickly gained an excellent reputation amongst local authorities, foster parents and other professionals for its knowledge, skills and experience in working with children who have experienced trauma.

The agency ethos is that every who is employed is trained in Therapeutic Fostering, regardless of the role. This ensures everyone understands the lived experience of our foster families and the agency works together to ensure stability and positive outcomes for children and young people.

Due to the continued growth of the agency, we require another talented administrator to join us!

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Providing administrative support to the social work team and contributing to the smooth running of the Fostering Agency.
  • Assisting with the administration of referrals of children and young people to the agency, which includes document referrals and liaising with local authorities and the Safer Fostering team.
  • Assisting with the administration of foster parent recruitment, this includes responding to enquiries and processing documents in respect of foster parent recruitment.
  • Assisting the registered manager with posts for social media and preparing and formatting adverts / posts.
  • Ensuring the administrative process for HR functions are carried out.
  • Creating and managing spreadsheets at the direction of the office manager.
  • Assisting in the preparation for Fostering Panel, including collating and distributing relevant documents and liaising with professionals.

The Candidate

You will have experience of working within an office environment and supporting a busy team. The successful candidate will need a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Excel to create reports. It is important that you are able to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment. You should have the ability to meet tight deadlines and work calmly under pressure with a flexible working attitude. You must be organised with the ability to manage numerous tasks and deadlines. Teamwork is important as well as being able to work on your own initiative. It will be useful to have experience of minute taking.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop your own personal skills and capability though on-going training as agreed with your line manager.

Salary: £20,000.00 per year
