Intro and job overview:
The Senior Director of Corporate Communications is a well-respected, dynamic leader who drives the communications strategy and execution for the company globally – elevating Precisely in the market and fostering employee engagement and culture through expertly designed and flawlessly executed communications programs. This role reports to the VP of Corporate Marketing and leads a team of communications professionals who own Public Relations, Customer Marketing, and Internal Communications.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Advance Precisely's public relations strategy, furthering our thought leadership in data integrity, and significantly elevating the company's visibility and position in the market.
- Own end-to-end public relations process including working with internal team and agency partners; defining core messaging and target outlets; conducting interviews with press; and program measurement and optimization.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to drive outbound engagement and inbound insights in alignment with corporate and AR/PR objectives.
- Continue to build and refine the Precisely customer marketing engine from ideation to published story. Help identify customers and use cases; develop and produce stories across various media and channels; and ensure they are amplified by internal and external marketing outlets.
- Develop and drive corporate communications programs to keep Precisely employees informed, engaged and aligned at every level.
- Advise, collaborate and deliver on necessary communications frameworks and deliverables for corporate level initiatives including M&A, annual global kickoff, and more.
- Support senior leaders as needed for company-wide communications including the Executive Leadership Team, HR, Sales, Marketing, and Product.
- Manage to operational and budget expectations.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, English or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in external and internal communications for high tech b2b organizations.
- Experience leading public relations including working with journalists and agency partners to get coverage in top tier media. Ability to drive both strategy and execution including drafting and editing press releases and by-line; facilitating stakeholder press interviews; and more.
- Expertise across the continuum of internal comms including, but not limited to, executive comms, M&A, investor, employee benefits, recognition, and more across communications channels.
- Development and delivery of customer reference and marketing programs a plus.
- Proven ability to lead, influence without authority, build trust amongst your team, colleagues, journalists, customers and other stakeholders.
- Strong executive presence and a passion for working with and supporting senior leaders.
- Savvy communicator who can think and write for executive, press, and internal audiences and can advise the business accordingly.
- Impressive project management skills with a knack for managing multiple moving parts and driving participation across multiple functions and colleagues.
- High-level of respect for confidential information.
- Data driven, analytical with attention to detail.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, highly visible area of the business.
- Experience developing a high performance team who upholds company values, works well across functions and is positively and proactively engaged in the business.
