Compensation and Benefits
Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $4,400 - $5,000 per month
Full CSU Classification Salary Range: $4,170 - $7,545 per month
- This is a full-time, probationary, exempt position.
- Positions at Fresno State are to perform their work onsite. Some positions, depending upon University needs and operations, may be eligible for remote work, one day per week, pursuant to Fresno State's remote work guidelines and the CSU policy.
The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 15 paid holidays a year. Job Summary
Reporting to and working in collaboration with the Director of Development for the College of Arts and Humanities, the Development Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the college’s development office, including coordinating and managing activities in support of development efforts and strategies. This individual will act as the first contact for faculty, staff, and student development inquiries and educate them on Fresno State development protocols, setting the tone for a welcoming and professional environment.
They will also work closely with the Director of Development to support all aspects of annual giving and engagement programs for the College of Arts and Humanities, lead logistics for volunteer board and committee meetings. The Development Analyst will organize volunteer engagement focused on development efforts, including prospect identification, cultivation, and solicitation activities. In addition, the Development Analyst will lead event coordination engagement activities for community members, volunteers, prospects, and donors to inspire further giving.
Key Qualifications
- Ability and willingness to work some evenings and weekends, as well as travel on a periodic basis as required.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to use correct spelling, punctuation, grammar, and syntax in written communications and articulate the fundraising goals of CAH; strong project management, analytical, and budgeting skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various constituents and levels of authority.
- Demonstrated proficiency with computers, programs, data systems and database management; willingness to learn new technologies.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a complex environment, but also to work independently and without close supervision.

Education and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to developing or improving administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience coordinating activities in support of development efforts and strategies and/or constituent engagement programs.
