Office Assistant
Poole Waite & Co Ltd is an architectural ironmongery business based in Clerkenwell Road, London.
We are looking for a part-time Accounts / Office Assistant to existing two ladies within the Accounts department. The successful candidate will be required to perform a variety of tasks. This make include any of the following: answering phones, printing incoming supplier invoices, filing purchase orders, matching / checking purchase orders to invoices, manual addition of outgoing invoices using calculator, inputting of invoices onto Accounts system. Please note currently our purchase and sales ledger is mainly paper based, rather than computerised.
Full training will be given however previous experience of either Sales or Purchase ledger is required To be successful in this role, you should have a friendly personality, great communication skills, and be able to follow instructions and work independently. There will normally be one other Accounts person working with you in the office, with the Sales guys working downstairs in a separate office.
Requirements: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel); good time management skills; excellent attention to detail; good problem-solving ability; clear, neat writing, ability to communicate clearly and concisely, able to work either alone or as part of a team.
We would require you to have previous work experience within a Sales or Purchase ledger environment.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 10-15 per week
Salary: £12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
