Starting £18,000
£18,000 starting salary with a pay increase on successful completion and sign off of inhouse training programs and qualifications. Plus team bonuses. We’re located in central Edinburgh.
FULL TIME, PERMANENT
Venture Studios Edinburgh is looking for Photographers!
The job involves creating rapport and a fantastic experience for our customers, as you photograph them and capture their personalities, in cutting edge and creative ways. As well as photography, you’ll also be editing and retouching all of your images, and then showing our customers their final pieces in our cinema room. You’ll then guide and advise them, as to what will be best for them, based on their interior and budget requirements, so an element of selling is required – all be it very soft with no hard selling with training provided.
Between shoots, edits and viewings, you’ll also be meeting and greeting, and showing them their final pieces in their bespoke wall art orders and calling your customers up before their shoot to get them ready and prepared.

You will be part of a wider network of Venture photographers in the UK, Hong Kong and the USA, with lots of training and creative workshops shared with you frequently, to keep you at the forefront of design and creativity.

We are also partnered with the British Institute of Professional Photography, with all photographers given the opportunity to gain qualifications through the establishment, in addition to the in-house qualification and training provided, and enter their Regional and National awards.
THE TYPE OF PERSON WE ARE LOOKING
Have at least 1 years experience in studio portrait photography and know Photoshop and LightRoom to a high level. *Essential requirement
Be creative.
Work well in a team.
Have a “can do” attitude and great interpersonal skills.
Love working with customers.
Be great with kids and pets as well as grownups.
Great on the phone and face to face.
Be a generally lovely person who likes working hard, enjoys running around after children and has a passion for what we do.
Be qualified to a diploma or degree level in Photography, Art or Design
Must live locally to the studio location approx 40 minutes commute and/ or a car owner.
DETAILS OF WORKING HOURS AND DAYS REQUIRED:
Standard shift is 10am-6pm or 9am-6pm (Saturday;s)
Weekend availability is essential.
Full time 5 days per week (including at least one or two weekend days and some evening shifts) 40 hours per week.
