Responsibilities will include

• drafting, negotiating and advising on key contracts including with public authorities, commercial suppliers, strategic partners, sponsors, media rights partners, broadcasters and other international sporting federations
• leading all commercial litigation, creating strategy for board approval, executing strategy and coordinating with legal specialists where required
• advice and support on issues relating to the organisational structure, its key stakeholders and the IOC
• advice and support on issues relating to data protection, intellectual property, fundraising law and regulation, commercial litigation and property
• resolving any HR, contractor or supplier issues
• working with and creating associations of trust with key stakeholders
• support with the governance and related legal and regulatory compliance ensuring the organisation is compliant with its founding documents

Ideal background

• a UK qualified lawyer with 10-15 years+ experience
• strong background in commercial litigation and commercial contracts
• strong commercial and business approach to problem solving
• a knowledge and understanding of the sporting world including broadcasting, sponsorship and athlete issues
• written and spoken German and/or French would be a huge advantage

Terms

• This role will be five days per week office based (West London) there is no home working
• There are only 20 days holiday + statutory bank holidays
• There is no bonus component or additional benefits (except statutory pension contribution)
