Are you motivated to train to become a registered Occupational Therapist?
Norfolk County Council is excited to offer Occupational Therapy Degree Apprenticeship posts commencing in January 2024. Our apprenticeship programme offers the opportunity to study for a fully funded occupational therapy MSc degree with The University of Coventry while working for Norfolk County Council in an Adult Social Care team and receiving a salary.
You will regularly visit Coventry University’s base in south London for teaching sessions, workshops, seminars and tutorials to develop your skills and knowledge. You will be supported throughout the programme by mentors in the workplace.
Entry criteria
We are looking for resilient and motivated applicants who have experience in social care and can demonstrate that they have the skills, knowledge, behaviours and values which underpin occupational therapy practice.
You will need to have at least two years direct experience of working with adults with care and support needs or children and families and understand the role of occupational therapists in empowering service users to achieve the best possible outcomes they wish for themselves
This is the two year Master’s degree programme so will need to have a relevant first degree at 2:1 or above achieved in the last ten years, plus GCSEs in English or English Language and Mathematics at grade C or above, or the new grade 4 and above (or an approved equivalent).
You will need show your original certificates when you apply for the apprenticeship. If you cannot find these, you can order replacements online .
On successful completion of the integrated degree apprenticeship, you will be awarded an MSc. In Occupational Therapy and you will then be able to apply for an Occupational Therapist post as Norfolk County Council and you will undertake the OT preceptorship programme.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to interview on 24 or 25 July and successful candidates will then shadow an occupational therapist for half a day and complete a written reflective exercise and an interview with Coventry University in London.
