Larch Ward at Meadowfield Hospital in Worthing are looking for an
Occupational Therapy Clinical Support Worker Band 3 to join the Multi-disciplinary team on Larch Ward which is an 18 bed Ward for adults aged over 65 experiencing mental health difficulties.
The Occupational Therapy Clinical Support Worker role is
22.5 hours with a flexible working pattern across 3 days
The Occupational Therapy Clinical Support Worker role includes facilitation of occupational interventions on a one to one basis and in groups to meet Patients’ occupational performance / recovery needs as identified by the Occupational Therapist.
Examples include:
- Regaining / maintaining / developing Activities of Daily Living (ADL) skills which can decrease during a hospital admission.
- Facilitating Patients to re-engage / maintain interests and activities in relation to their recovery.
- Facilitating engagement in identified purposeful roles.
- Facilitating Patients to achieve occupational goals they have identified.
- Facilitating Patients’ integration into the community.

You would be part of a supportive and friendly Multi-disciplinary team with opportunities to work in collaboration with colleagues including: Occupational Therapists, Activity Worker, Nurses, Doctors, Social Workers, Psychologist and community practitioners to support Patients in their recovery.
