We are seeking to a recruit a motivated, enthusiastic and forward thinking experienced support worker with a passion for working within a mental health setting. If you are passionate about working in Forensic mental health and supporting individuals to achieve their goals and live more fulfilling lives, this could be the perfect role for you.
We are currently recruiting a vocational assistant to join the Dorset Forensic Service, working autonomously across the community and low secure inpatient setting. The post holder will have experience in working with people who have mental health problems and be skilled at motivating people with compassion to engage in vocational activity to support their wellbeing. We are a proactive and progressive team; we value our staff and want to create an environment of service and staff development. As a service we have an onsite vocational project, Bright Bean Caf, which offers patients training in barista skills and development of vocational skills. This is a developing project that we hope to expand further and link with community projects.
The post holder is expected to have a level of fitness and ability to participate and complete PMVA, Breakaway training and Manual Handling. The post holder is expected to be a car driver and have access to their own vehicle.
This post will require working within Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole, and Dorset areas.
