Overview of the Graduate Production Engineer
2fawcett are recruiting for a Graduate Engineer to join a fantastic company as the Production Engineer. As the production Engineer you will be working for a fantastic company based in Sheffield. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical engineering degree with a small amount of hands on experience in CNC/Machining or robotics.
You will be providing technical support & expertise to the manufacturing and internal sales teams. A big part of this role will be looking at the engineering process’s and working with continuous improvement to optimise performance.
Main duties and responsibilities of the Production Engineer
· Provide accurate product drawings & BOM details to purchasing, planning and production departments
· Controlling and issue of drawings
· Working with marketing, and where appropriate, pre-test products
· Provide support on quality issues
· Reviewing tooling, jigs, and fixtures to constantly improve performance and minimise waste, change over times, etc.
· Support the production team to develop operator skills and knowledge through coaching and training on Machinery
· Identifying and Implement new Technologies
· Adherence to legislative controls of the company.Knowledge / Understanding of ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001
Requirements of the Production Engineer
· Engineering degree, HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering
Full training will be provided, but some prior knowledge within the industry will be helpful.
