Job description
The applicant will be an enthusiastic individual with an interest in occupational therapy and applying to a mixed patient population including individuals who have a diagnosis of mental health/ personality disorder /Learning Disabilities and Autistic Spectrum Disorders that require inpatient treatment.
Deliver effective and evidenced based person centered interventions that improve mental health, understanding of their occupational performance/identity, promote rehabilitation and reduce risks that create barriers to independent living.
The successful candidate would work as part of a team providing both individual and group-based interventions under the supervision and guidance of qualified, experienced occupational therapists. The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently and creatively utilizing good communication and organizational skills.
What is required?
The successful candidate will work collaboratively as part of the multi-disciplinary team and wider team.
You will assist with the assessment of childrens’ functional skills and sensory needs.
This will involve conducting assessments, maintaining current and accurate case notes, and contributing to the clinical discussion and management of individual students within the therapy and teaching teams.
Support the development and delivery of individualised intervention programmes to help learning and to enable meaningful engagement and participation in activities, social interaction, and relationships.
