Location: Nottingham

Contract Type: Locum ongoing contract, Part-time, 30 hours a week

Occupational Therapist Pay Rate: £29.17 per hour (assignment rate)

Duties of the Social Services Occupational Therapist:

  • To work in the children's local authority team.
  • To complete assessments for children currently on the waiting list.
  • Following the completion of the assessment, outcomes are to be identified and a SMART plan compiled. This may involve provision of specialist equipment and/or major adaptations to increase function and independence.
  • Specialist assessments for postural management seating and manual handling may be required.
  • Assessments to be written in professional format and saved to the case file and shared with the family.
  • Maintain plans and case notes in a timely manner and to a professional standard.

Requirements of the Social Services Occupational Therapist:

  • Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
  • Recent experience working as an Occupational Therapist
  • Recent experience within social services / local authority / council
  • Registered with the HCPC
