Job description

Avaliable Job Today Level 3 Nursery Practitioner

We are excited to announce that we have a rare opportunity for a new practitioner to join our family of practitioners at Rainbow Nursery.

A little bit about us

Rainbow Nursery was established over 40 years ago within the heart of the vibrant conservation area of the Avenues. We are based in a large converted Victorian house with a lovely homely feel. Rainbow Nursery caters for children from 6 weeks old up to 5 years with an amazing team of 18 staff members, some of which have been within the company for over 10 years. The setting has a home from home feel which is ideal for our children to thrive in and for our staff to work in.

We are proud to be owned by a local charity, Hull Community and Voluntary Services (Hull CVS), which works to help other local charitable causes to flourish. Each year, our parent charity provides a range of services to hundreds of volunteers, charities and community organisations who dedicate their lives to making a difference to local communities across Hull. Rainbow Nursery is run as a non-profitable organisation, which means our sole priority is on the children’s happiness and development. By working within our Nursery, not only are you helping to give children the best possible start in life and education, but you are also helping to support vital local causes and charities.

Would you like to be part of our amazing and dedicated team and become part of our Rainbow family?

What we are looking for?

· A minimum of a full and relevant level 3 or equivalent childcare qualification (unfortunately health and social care do not meet the criteria needed).

· An understanding of the EYFS and how this is used within a nursery setting.

· A creative and fun personality who doesn’t mind singing and dancing and has a smile for all our little people.

· Someone who is able to be adaptable and can think outside the box to encourage the children to question and enhance their time at nursery whilst also challenging them.

· Someone who is passionate and can provide a rich, safe and enabling environment in which all individual children can play, learn and develop.

· Someone who understands the importance of a positive parent partnership and can value how this impacts the children and the families we support.

· Someone who can keep records of their key children’s development using tapestry and share with parents, carers and other key adults in the child’s life.

· Someone who can ensure that children are kept safe and have a good understanding of safeguarding and when necessary follow the correct safeguarding procedures.

· Someone who understands that every child is unique and can meet and adapt to all children’s needs regardless of any disability, family cultures and medical histories.

· Someone who loves to make a difference to each child and their family, and can recognise their own vital importance they play in that child’s life and how amazing it is to have the pleasure to be part of that opportunity.

What we offer

· An Employee Assistance Programme from day one of your employment.

· Simply health medical scheme for all practitioners who have been with us for a year.

· 10% reduction in childcare fees.

· Access to a range of training and personal development opportunities.
