Nursery Nurse - Children's Day Nursery - Supporting Children with Additional Needs)
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Nurse to join our team that specialises in supporting children with additional needs. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and education for young children, ensuring that each child's individual needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn and develop in
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities and experiences that support children's learning and development.
- Work closely with the nursery's SENCo to support children with additional needs, including carrying out assessments and creating individual education plans.
- Establish positive relationships with children and their families, ensuring that their individual needs are understood and met.
- Monitor children's progress and report any concerns to the relevant team members.
- Ensure that the nursery's policies and procedures are followed at all times, including those related to health and safety, safeguarding, and behaviour management.
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
- Experience working with young children in a nursery setting, preferably with experience working with children with additional needs.
- Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish positive relationships with children and their families.
- Commitment to providing high-quality care and education for young children.
