Overview
We are looking for a qualified Nursery Nurse for our new Parent and Child home situated within Aylesbury. We are looking for a talented professional who can provide a positive living experience for the resident by caring for their physical, emotional, and social needs.
About us
Our residential homes provide a safe and nurturing environment for our young people with adverse childhood experiences to be supported to flourish. This will often include children who demonstrate behaviour that challenges. We provide them with a safe, caring community in which they can learn how to build positive relationships and support them in becoming successful adults.
About the role
You will work as part of a team that encourage and stimulate emotional and social growth by devising and organising family activities, encouraging the Parent and Child to socialise and to join organisations outside the Home.
In addition, you will work in partnership with wider family groups and carers of children, Social Workers, and other outside agencies, as required.
About you
The successful applicant will:
- Possess experience of working in a nursery/child day care setting
- Have an understanding of and commitment to the implementation of equal opportunities
- Be able to write case notes and/or provide verbal updates following interaction with children and their families
- Possess the ability to work within a team and maintain good communication
- Be highly motivated with high energy levels and stamina
- Be positive with colleagues and service users to focus on the future to support family development
- Be flexible within the role to ensure support across the full service is applied
- Be proficient in building strong trusting relationships with families
- Be conscientious, reliable, and responsible
The successful candidate will also:
Possess a relevant childcare qualification in accordance with Ofsted Registration to have one or more of the following:
- NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Education
- BTEC National Diploma in Children's Care, Learning and Development
- NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development
