The Hollies Day Nursery in Cardiff is seeking a Nursery Assistant (Unqualified or Level 2) to join our friendly, caring, and nurturing team.
As Nursery Assistant you will play a vital role in helping us to enhance and enrich the children’s everyday learning and development experiences. The Hollies have a long-standing staff team, and several colleagues have enjoyed long and successful careers with us.
Situated in the Canton (Treganna) area of Cardiff, the Hollies has great local transport links, and ample onsite free car parking and is close to local amenities.
Your roles and responsibilities as Nursery Assistant would include –
- Supporting the effective running on the nursery by being organised, and have the ability to plan and prioritise your work
- Being positive, confident and honest
- Having great initiative and a “can do” attitude
- Knowing and upholding our policies, procedures and established working practices
- Being a “key person” for a group of children, ensuring that their care and development needs are being met at all times
- Using our curriculum to observe, plan and assess children’s learning opportunities
- Understanding and implementing safeguarding, health and safety and welfare requirement policies and practices
- Be a dedicated team player, and valuing the experience and skills of your colleagues
- Continually striving to work together to deliver the very best care and education for the children
- Supporting colleagues with empathy and care
