Garden Centre Team Member
Full Time 40 Hours Per Week Including Weekends
We are currently looking for a Team member to work in our fast paced and very customer focused Centre. The successful candidates will be highly motivated, approachable and have excellent people skills with a positive “can do” attitude plus a keen eye for detail.
This is a very hands-on role and as such you will need to be proactive, organised and have good communication skills. Previous retail/customer service experience preferred; however full training will be provided where necessary.

Duties Include:
Maintaining standards in the garden centre shop area.
Provide exceptional standards throughout the department in the following areas: display and merchandising, cleanliness, health & safety, signage, stimulating ideas, and product quality.
Maintain a good customer flow throughout the department with promotions and inspirational displays.
Constantly review and adjust the department’s look and feel to develop the correct balance of product availability, signage, and promotional activity so as to entice customers to buy.
Achieve high levels of personal productivity and pace, getting things done quickly, efficiently and to a high standard.
Generate new and innovative ideas to enhance and improve department.
To make sure products are always in stock.
Maintain a high profile and contact with customers on the shop floor and to be available to give advice and direction on all areas of the store as required.
Be ready for business in your department at the start of trading each day.
Communicate with the Store Management team on all areas ensuring that focus is always on developing our offer, to improve the customer experience and the quality of what we do daily.
Visit emails and filing tray daily, actioning as appropriate.
Administer markdown and price changes as appropriate.
Help support tills with issues/refunds or manning them to help customer service time.
Take part in the store stocktaking program to include out of hours working as required.
