Job description
If you love getting out and about across the whole of the North West then this could be the role for you. We are looking for someone who loves nothing more than meeting potential candidates and telling them about all the great opportunities that can be found working with Lancashire Teaching Hospitals.
This role won't be desk bound all the time and you will be visiting universities, local communities and schools across the North West talking about the great nursing opportunities from starting as a healthcare assistant and then, through our internal apprenticeship programmes, becoming senior healthcare assistants, nursing associates and eventually registered nurses to engaging with our nursing students to ensure a smooth transition from student nurse to a nursing role with the Trust.
You will also look after our non-registered nursing recruitment, helping us to source fantastic staff from our local communities.
You will need good IT skills as you will provide monthly progress reports on recruitment and also projected numbers of nurses and healthcare assistants on the recruitment pipeline.
You will blend your analytical skills with your love of engaging with others, talking to them, informing them of opportunities across nursing within our hospitals and getting a better understanding of what is important to them. You will then transfer this into plans to support our nurse recruitment to become more responsive to the needs of our future nursing workforce.
Nurse recruitment has never been more challenging than it is today and that is why we have developed a wide range of routes into nursing and you will play a key role in supporting recruitment into these roles. You will support the development of proactive recruitment processes into:
- Healthcare Assistant Role
- Nursing Associate Roles
- Nursing Apprenticeships
- Registered Nurse Roles
You will also manage the delivery of an effective and seamless engagement programme for student nurses, taking responsibility for the quality of work and continually seeking ways of improving service deliver.
You will also manage the implementation of recruitment strategies for non-registered clinical support roles including healthcare and senior healthcare assistants ensuring local communities are engaged with in order to publicise the role of healthcare assistants and the progression pathway into registered nursing that the Trust currently offers.
