Nursery Practitioner

Nursery: Bright Horizons Coulsdon Day Nursery and Preschool

Salary: £12.19 - £16.42 (dependant on qualification/s and experience)

Location: Coulsdon, London.

We are currently offering a Welcome Bonus of £250 - £500 for the position (T&C's Apply)

We are looking for a Part Time, Level 2/3 qualified Practitioner to join our Bright Horizons Coulsdon Nursery, situated Coulsdon, London. This position is for 20 hours per week (10-2pm or 11-3pm)

Our Bright Horizons Coulsdon Day Nursery and Preschool is Ofsted rated ‘Good’, and is situated just off Chipstead Valley road and within easy walking from Coulsdon Town and Coulsdon South, train stations.

The nursery is based in a beautiful large setting, benefiting from a dedicated sensory area and stunning outdoor garden complete with a cycling track, undercover studio and sandpit!

What you’ll be doing

  • Plan, create and implement engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones.
  • Observing, tracking and reflecting on learning
  • Develop and maintain strong parent/ carer partnerships
  • Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding procedures and policies are followed at all times
  • Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment on a day to day basis

What we’re looking for

  • Full and Relevant Level 2 or above Early Years qualification
  • Previous experience working with children (ideally as a Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nursery Assistant or similar)
  • Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
  • Ability to use a variety of techniques to clearly and successfully communicate with both children and adults
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
