Job description

We are looking for a Retail Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Exeter store, when required we may ask you to work in a different branch of our business.We are open for business 24 hours a day 365 days. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player with a proven track record in grocery and motor fuel retail.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the store
• Set an example for the team in customer service and create a positive culture in the store
• Control cashier inventory and speed of checkout
• Maintain fast and clean checkout line, prepare shelves with new merchandise, clean product and organize merchandise on shelves, and restock inventory when needed.
• Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
• Create and maintain a product knowledge database.
• Manage inventory control software program.
• Liaise with managers and other departments to resolve operational problems.
• Determine or recommend staffing and other needs to meet sales and productivity targets
• Reports as required to managerial staff on departmental activities.
• Maintain safe work environment by complying with policies and procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From £27,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Exeter: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

• GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

• Retail sales: 1 year (preferred)
• Supervising experience: 1 year (preferred)
• Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
• Retail management: 1 year (preferred)
• Management: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (preferred)
