About the Role

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual to join us in a new team as a Housing Register & Rehousing Officer.

Working in a friendly team of 6, this post involves assessing housing register applications whilst considering the full range of housing solutions available to customers, together with letting or nominating to properties.

The Community Housing Service helps people secure and keep housing and avert crisis, we provide a range of housing and homelessness prevention support across Kingston. About You

We are looking for a hardworking, capable individual who is confident in working with people facing difficult housing circumstances. Ideally you will have experience of working within a housing field and giving advice on housing solution options.

You will be a team player who is articulate, well organised, able to multitask and works well under pressure. You will be committed to building a sound knowledge of the Council’s policies, especially in relation to property allocation and working within this legal framework. You will also have excellent customer service skills and be able to use your initiative.
