Priory is the leading independent provider of mental healthcare and adult social care in the UK.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Infrastructure Field Engineer (Fixed Term) to join the team and support our growing business. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering IT services to the business and across the group within required SLA’s and policies.
This role is offered fixed term, on a 12 month contract.
Essential, you must hold a current full UK driving licence, covered for business use on own motor vehicle. This is a Field Based Role with Occasional travel to Bristol IT Office.
Job Overview
Responsible for delivering IT services to the business and across the group within required SLA’s and policies
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide support, technical expertise and advice to the Head of Infrastructure and wider team on a daily basis.
- Support and maintenance of existing systems; for improvements and developments required to support business growth.
- Provide 3rd line support for networks both onsite and remotely.
- Installation of equipment to support the local Infrastructure at sites. This will include but not limited to Workstations, Switches & Wifi Access Points.
- Maintain and develop infrastructure documentation in line with current processes.
- Work on short to medium term Infrastructure projects as provided by the Head of Infrastructure. Take ownership of those projects and see them through to conclusion whilst keeping the Head of Infrastructure regularly informed of your progress.
- Attend sites as and when necessary for onsite issues, project rollouts, hardware refreshment and to enhance the profile of IT throughout the business.
- During periods of acquisitions, take an active part in visiting newly acquired sites to install new communications equipment and enable connectivity to the Priory network – this may entail working extra hours if required.
What we would like from the role holder:
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft products and ideally a Microsoft Certified Professional.
- Extremely proficient in all types of hardware platforms.
- Proven ability to work to tight timescales and work both individually and as part of a team.
Knowledge / Education / Skills:
- IT qualifications - Extensive knowledge of Microsoft products and ideally a Microsoft Certified Professional. Extremely proficient in all types of hardware platforms. Proven ability to work to tight timescales and work both individually and as part of a team.
- Proven knowledge of network setups and troubleshooting of IT Infrastructure equipment.
Experience:
- Experience in a similar role would be advantageous including the production of user
- documentation. Along with having experience across the below areas:
- Wifi Access Points Deployments
- WAN, LAN technologies
- Microsoft platforms, Windows Server / Windows OS
- DHCP, DNS, Print Management
