What you’ll do

As a live-in carer, you’ll live with a client 24 hours a day. You’ll usually spend a minimum of 7 days on and 7 days off or a more suitable rota pattern can be discussed. It’s all about spending quality time with your client as you provide personalised and individual one-to-one support.

Activities might include:

  • Helping with personal hygiene
  • Bathing
  • Administering medication
  • Preparing food and drinks
  • Shopping, organising social and leisure activities
  • General housekeeping
  • Monitoring and quickly communicating significant changes to health and emotional condition
  • In some cases PEG and Enteral feeding support (full training is provided for this)

We’re looking for

  • A Minimum of 6 months Care assistant or Support work experience
  • A cheerful and outgoing approach
  • Empathy and consideration
  • An ability to follow instructions and care plans
  • A good level of English, both verbally and in writing
  • A driver’s licence is an advantage - if you drive for a client it will be in their own vehicle and their insurance will cover you
  • Authorisation to live and work in the UK
