Job description

We are looking for a programmer with a keen eye for design for the position of front end developer. The main responsibility is to develop HTML email templates for our clients. The front end developer will work closely with our designer to come up with a few email templates and the developer is required to be able to update the content independently based on the client’s requests.

The front end developer is also responsible for the company website, ensuring the alignment of web design and user experience requirements, optimizing web pages for maximum efficiency, and maintaining brand consistency across all web pages, among other duties.

They are required to work in teams alongside user experience designers to ensure all elements of HTML email and web creation are consistent. They will work closely with the client servicing team and back end developer to make sure that the client’s brand and content are properly placed on the HTML templates. This requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The ideal candidate will have proven email development experience with a strong technical background and excellent HTML and CSS skills, ensuring our responsive templates are fully optimized, including for mobile and dark mode, and feel confident troubleshooting. They will also ensure they keep up to date on email best practices and latest developments and collaborate with the design team to build new templates, potentially including interactive elements with suitable fallbacks for main clients. They will be focused and flexible to the needs of the team. They will have excellent planning and organisation skills, as well as keeping up to date and aware of improvements in code and also eager to learn and develop new skills. They will work on multiple projects at the same time, have excellent communication skills and have the ability to deliver high quality work to tight timescales.

Front End Developer Responsibilities:

  • Determining the structure and design of HTML emails and web pages.

  • Ensuring user experience determines design choices.

  • Developing features to enhance the user experience.

  • Striking a balance between functional and aesthetic design.

  • Ensuring output is optimized for smartphones.

  • Building reusable code for future use.

  • Optimizing web pages for maximum speed and scalability.

  • Managing multilingual WordPress websites and being the main contact for troubleshooting.


Front End Developer Requirements:

  • Showcasing relevant past professional experience.

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript is mandatory.

  • Understanding of HTML email is an advantage.

  • Proficiency in Figma is an advantage.

  • Understanding of Python is an advantage.

  • Proficiency in PHP and SQL is an advantage.

  • Understanding of server-side CSS.

  • Experience with responsive and adaptive design.

  • Experience using Elementor for WordPress will be an advantage.

  • Understanding of SEO principles.

  • Good problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent English verbal communication skills.

  • Good interpersonal skills.
