Job Summary:
Greets members/patients at curbside and transports to various locations throughout the campus. Maintain wheelchairs and gurneys in proper working order. Makes members/patients and their needs a primary focus of ones actions; develops and sustains productive member/patient relationships. Actively seeks information to understand member/patient circumstances, problems, expectations, and needs. Builds rapport and cooperative relationship with members/patients. Considers how actions or plans will affect members; responds quickly to meet member/patient needs and resolves problems.
Essential Responsibilities:
Greets members/patients using wheelchairs or gurneys & transports to various locations on the medical campus.
Assists patients to vehicles.
May be required to lift patients using proper body mechanics & lifting techniques.
Responds immediately to patients & medical staff requests; as well as providing basic customer service to patient.
Communications w/ patients in a kind & caring manner.
Cleans wheel chairs & gurneys.
In addition to defined technical requirements, accountable for consistently demonstrating service behaviors & principles defined by the KP Service Quality Credo, the KP Mission as well as specific departmental/organizational initiatives.
Supports compliance & KPs Code of Conduct by adhering to federal & state laws & regulations, accreditation & license requirements, by policies & procedures.
Responds appropriately to observed fraud & abuse.
In addition to defined technical requirements, accountable for consistently demonstrating service behaviors & principles defined by the KP Service Quality Credo, the KP Mission as well as specific departmental/organizational initiatives.

Additional Requirements:
Strong customer service skills.
Position requires moving and transporting patients throughout the entire shift.

Preferred Qualifications:
Six (6) months of work experience in a hospital or clinic preferred.
Travel requirements subject to change.
Position may be asked to cover shifts at other KP Medical Imaging locations based on business need.
Patient transporter position at Lone Tree Mobile MRI.
Position responsible for retrieval and assistance of prepping patients for MRI exams.
