Job description
SUMMARY: Transport patients to various areas of the ASC before and after procedures as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND EXAMPLES OF WORK: This list of tasks may be changed or other tasks may be assigned as necessary.
- Transport patients via the use of a wheelchair to the patient pick-up area.
- Retrieves patient family members from the waiting area and escorts them to patient recovery room after completion of procedures.
- Maintains soiled linen utility room for cleanliness. This includes stretcher cleaning and cleaning of the PACU room.
- Stocks procedure rooms with the necessary linens to be used for the next day
- Sanitize patient beds by cleaning and changing linens after each patient use.
- Sanitize patient wheelchairs on a regular basis
- Responsible for ensuring that hand sanitizing stations are stocked with the appropriate supplies
- Incumbent performs other job-related tasks as assigned and required; any duties/tasks included in the employee's performance evaluation are essential to that employee's position within the job classification.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience:
High School Graduate or equivalent. At least one year of work experience is preferred
Other: Must pass background check and a pre-employment drug screen and physical
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
