A quick look at the role.

To monitor the health and safety performance of crews across multiple waste collections sites via CCTV camera systems, identifying good and bad working practices and recording this information for crew feedback via the operations team.

To visually monitor the health and safety and performance of operatives across multiple waste collection sites via CCTV camera systems in operation on refuse collection vehicles.

To identify good and bad working practices performed by the collection crews identifying hazards.

To accurately record information gathered in a manner suitable for operational managers to give accurate feedback to their team members.

To monitor street cleansing. Grading the cleanliness of streets in accordance with ‘Keep Britain Tidy’ standards.

To have a good, and up to date, knowledge of health and safety practices in relation to the working practices of the crews being monitored

Requirements

Here’s what we require:

  • Minimum GCSE or equivalent in Maths & English
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Good communication skills
  • IT literate
  • Knowledge of hazard / near miss reporting procedures - Desirable
  • Health and Safety (preferably in a waste environment) - Desirable
  • Experience of working on a multiple computer screen display set up
